I wanted to ask my art students how they were feeling so I demonstrated a way for them to be creative with their response. I explained how I used scissors and paper towel cardboard to vary the shape and angle of the cardboard. I did not use glue so that the facial expression could change for another photo in the future. I also asked them to write down why they were feeling that way. These are my examples of different facial expressions for inspiration. This was posted in their Google Classrooms today. This is our spring art show presented as a virtual exhibit. We left the building in March but I was able to record some video and take a few photographs. Most of the student art remains safely inside our flat file storage for 2D art. Clay and paper mache' sculptures also remain inside the art room. I hope you enjoy our virtual art exhibit. Stay safe, stay smart and make art!
I hope everyone is doing OK and staying safe at home. This Sunday is Easter so I thought I'd demonstrate how to make a God's eye. These have been made around the world for many years and they are a way to remind people about God's presence, love and protection. I hope you all will watch this demonstration and try this fun project this week. You'll see how easy they are to make for yourself and you can give them as a gift for someone else too! Remember to post your artwork on Google Classroom and on our Artsonia digital art gallery! Happy Easter!- Mr. B
Hello art students! I hope you all are staying home and staying safe. I hope some of you are choosing to do art from the choice board too. This video was made to inspire you to keep making art!
Find an interesting rock to paint, wash it really good and then wash your hands too! I used acrylic paint for this painting and it is now a paperweight! I recently learned that there are paperweight museums! Hope you enjoy this video and remember, keep making art!
