Art Conservation and Restoration

Art Club students are learning about art conservation and restoration. Club members are restoring several legacy paintings created by former 8th grade art students. Over time, these painting have begun to fade and were in need of cleaning. Art Club students were shown how to properly care for the art and prepare it for new layers of color. Once repaired, these paintings will be on display again inside our cafeteria. Students also learned how this can become a career option for those interested in art history and fine art painting.
